DOTT release for the class teachers. You will be required to teach Arts, SoSE, PE / Health and a 1hour literacy block each day. You will have planning time allocated for lesson planning. This school is located near the main highway and would be a perfect opportunity for a teacher to enjoy the benefits of two-way learning. Requirements: A new teaching position is now open to a teacher for Full Time until the end of the 2009 school year at an independent College in the Midland area. The College is keen for a suitably qualified person to join with them who can take a teaching role in the areas of lower school general classes .The person may be a new graduate, and experienced upper Primary or Middle School teacher or even a dedicated High School who has a particular talent to work with our students who have particular learning needs.. The target demographic is 13 to 20ish youth who are educationally disengaged and most often have huge gaps in their attendance at main stream schools. The successful applicant wil be able to Demonstrate current Police Clearance and WWC Card to teach in WA Schools. Demonstrate WACOT registration as a teacher in WA. Demonstrate the holding of a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. Demonstrate recent successful experience in teaching. Demonstrate recent successful experience in the educative process of educationally disengaged youth. Demonstrate qualifications and abilities to lead and develop youth via extra curricular activities. Demonstrate significant successful experience in the delivery and assessment of Vocational and Educational Training. This is a very challenging position full of satisfaction and opportunity. Requirements: Music Teacher (0.6 FTE) to start January 2009 at this very well resourced Catholic primary school with 540 students from PP - Yr 7 . The teacher will teach the class Music Program for all year levels. If the teacher has the capacity to teach the Year 5-7 Band and the Choir this will be considered an ideal role for the Music Specialist. The teacher who can make music an enjoyable experience for all students and who has the enthusiasm and commitment to ensure this curriculum area is well taught will be a valuable member of the team at this highly regarded school. Requirements: This Catholic School is located in the well-resourced East-Kimberley town . The school was established in 1987 at the request of the local Jaru community at Red Hill (Lunja Community).There are four class groupings and a Teaching Assistant is ususally employed in each . This full-time position involves teaching a class of Pre-Primary and Year 1 students (up to 26 students, usually fewer) Literacy is taught through the National Accelerated Literacy Programme (no prior experience needed, but a willingness and commitment to take on this programme is essential). The school teaches Religious Education using the Perth RE Guidelines and the Kimberley Companion supplement. The social and emotional well-being programme PATHS is being trialled at the school over this semester.This exciting and potentially rewarding position will best suit an applicant who brings flexibility, enthusiasm and positivity to the workplace, and is prepared to work cooperatively with others on staff. • Experience in ESL would be helpful but not essential as the students have a Jaru and Aboriginal English background. • Experience in Early Childhood Education would be an advantage, though specific ECE qualifications are not essential • Experience in teaching Religious Education in Catholic Schools would be an advantage Applicants must be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education. This school is located on the main highway close to the Bungle Bungle national park. Requirements: A Special Needs Assistant is required for this school on the South side of the city to work each afternoon with a child with a disability. The Assistant should have experience in dealing with behavioural issues as well as have the capacity to work pro-actively with this Year 1 child. The position is 0.5 and would suit a education assistant who is keen to work with Special needs students. A working with Children certificate is required along with a Federal Police Clearance. Requirements: A specialist Science teacher is required for this very well resourced Catholic Primary school on the South side of the city. The teacher will be required to teach Science from Year 3 to Year 7. This is a 0.4 position - (2 days) but f the person is able to assist with the schools Enrichment program the position will be 0.8 (4 days) . Teachers who feel they have the background in Primary Investigations and could act as a resource teacher for the school are asked to apply immediately. Support for the ethos of the Catholic School is expected as is WACOT registration.

Requirements: Is Music your speciality - experience in choral work or instrumental ? This prestigious college is seeking the services of a qualified teacher who can take over this part time role of class music for the rest of the school year at least. The majority of classes are Year 8 or 10. However there is one Yr 11 Music In Society class. The position has a 0.4 teaching load and a 0.25 Co-curricular commitment. The latter involves Yr 8 Choir from 7.30 - 8.30am on Tuesdays and Yr 9/10 Choir on Thursdays at 7.30 -8.30am. (unless of course if the teacher has string skills, in which case the teacher would be involved in Orchestra on Friday mornings from 7.30 - 8.30am) The position is avaiable immediately and the successful applicant will be able to support the ethos of the Catholic School .

Requirements: URGENT URGENT - due to a change in circumstances a position for an English teacher is available for the rest of the 2007 school year The teaching load is mainly Yr 8- 10 classes (with possibly some Yr 11 but not definite) The ability to teach RE would be an advantage but not essential. The teacher would join a team of committed staff who have made this college well known. This Goldfields Catholic College has a very good local reputation and provides excellent location allowances which include subsidised accommodation for the teacher who is prepared to join the team.. This could be a short term contract (1 -2 terms) if an applicant was unable to complete a full year. While new graduates are encouraged to apply, the role will be a good extension for an experienced teacher. Support for the ethos of the Catholic School is expected.
